A few changes to the forecast as we wake up on this Monday morning. First, our team has issued a Weather Aware Day as confidence in the evening round of severe weather has increased. Second, we are now only expecting one round of severe storm potential between 6 PM and 2 AM. While we could see a light shower or thundershower late morning through early afternoon the severe storm threat is very low. Storms this evening could contain damaging winds, large hail, and an isolated tornado. As of this post the entire region remains in the level 2 slight risk for severe weather. Stay tuned to FirstWARN Tri-Cities for updates throughout the day.
