A few scattered strong to severe storms are possible this evening and tonight mainly across Eastern Kentucky and Southwest Virginia where a level 2/5 risk of severe storms has now been issued for tonight. Most of the rest of the area is in a level 1/5 risk of severe storms. Damaging winds and large hail are the main threats. The tornado threat is very very very low and near zero, but we never say never when it comes to storms around here in mid-April. Stay with FirstWARN Tri-Cities for storm coverage if needed.
