Severe Weather Possible on Wednesday

Severe weather appears possible region wide on Wednesday. The main time frame for strong to severe storms will come from 4PM - 12 AM. All of our region is in the level 2 slight risk of severe weather with damaging winds being the main threat. We cannot rule out isolated instances of hail or an isolated tornado. We will be much more specific on threats Tuesday morning. Reminder: IF a Tornado Warning is issued for our coverage area during the severe weather event we will go live wall to wall on Facebook and here on our website.

After this weather system moves through an artic blast will move into the region just in time for your weekend with a chance of scattered light snow showers on Friday night and Saturday. Snowfall accumulations look minimal at this time and will most likely be confined to the higher elevations. Though we can't rule out a dusting in the lower elevations of Southwest Virginia
