A significant winter storm is POSSIBLE from late Friday night through Sunday. Confidence is increasing that this system could bring accumulating snowfall along with hazardous travel conditions across parts of the region.

We are still 5–6 days out, so there is uncertainty, but recent trends are leaning more toward accumulating snow. Some freezing rain is also possible, mainly in southern areas. If more mixing with sleet or freezing rain occurs, that could reduce snow totals.

Because we’re still several days away, we will not be posting expected totals yet. Our goal is to give you the most accurate forecast possible as confidence increases.

Now would be a good time to begin winter storm preparations and check back daily for updates. We will provide at least two updates per day as the potential storm approaches.

Stay weather aware.
