Rainfall will be beneficial with this system many areas could see 1-2 inches of rain. Some locally higher rain amounts will be possible in WNC where isolated flooding could become an issue. Rainfall will start around midnight Monday night and last through Tuesday afternoon

The rain could start out as freezing rain in our NC mountain counties and Grayson County, VA Monday night and early Tuesday. A glaze to a tenth of an inch of ice accumulation is possible and could cause localized slick travel Tuesday morning.
