***WEATHER ALERT DAY UPDATE - SEVERE WEATHER EXPECTED MONDAY - TIMING UPDATE***

We are in Weather ALERT mode for Monday as we have the potential of strong to severe storms. Most of the viewing area, with the exception of far western areas, are in a level 3/5 enhanced risk of severe storms. Models still have not came to an agreement on timing, but we believe the early afternoon through the evening is the main time frame. We encourage you to be Weather ALERT from 12 PM - 9 PM. It will not storm that whole time, but storms during that time could be on the severe side. The severe threat will all depend on what happens in the morning, if we get more rain in the morning the severe threat will be lower. If we see sun at all tomorrow and get into the 80's then the severe storm risk will be higher. All modes of severe weather are possible. Damaging winds are the main threat with wind gust inside storms up to 70-75 MPH possible. Large hail up to ping pong ball size is possible in any discreet storm. A few tornadoes are possible in the region, as of this posting the tornado threat is at a low to medium but is subject to change depending on timing and storm mode. Bottom line, severe weather is possibly to likely tomorrow. Make sure to stay with us for later forecast updates as this forecast could change. Make sure you have ways to receive your weather alerts and know where you are going to go no matter where you are in case of severe weather in your area. We will provide live coverage during severe weather warnings on our Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Website along on our radio partner Trijamz. If a Severe Thunderstorm or Tornado WATCH is issued we will have updates at the top and bottom (:00 and :30) of each hour on those same platforms. FirstWARN Tri-Cities is dedicated to keeping you and your family safe during Severe Weather. We are the Tri-Cities first warning when severe weather strikes.
