A Winter Storm is heading towards the Tri-Cities with the potential of accumulating snowfall increasing across the entire area. Most of the area is in a Winter Storm WATCH, which could be upgraded to a warning late Sunday. Snowfall totals of 2-4 inches are possible in the Tri-Cities metro with higher amount to the north and west of the Tri-Cities. Areas east of the metro could see 1 to 3 inches of snowfall. This forecast is subject to change so make sure to check back for updates.
Once we go below freezing Sunday night some areas might not get back above freezing until Thursday. Some areas could see temps briefly above freezing at some point Monday afternoon before quickly dropping below freezing until Thursday. Windchills Wednesday morning could be below zero, if that trends continue we will continue our Weather ALERT Day through Wednesday as well.
