A winter storm is starting to look more likely from Friday afternoon through Saturday evening, especially across eastern portions of the region.
Over the past 24 hours, forecast models have continued to trend upward, increasing confidence in accumulating snowfall beginning Friday afternoon. With the event now 48–72 hours out, we feel it’s time to begin increasing our messaging.
What we know:
✔️ The entire region is likely to see some accumulating snowfall
✔️ The best chance for a higher-impact winter storm is in eastern areas
There is still some uncertainty regarding exact snowfall amounts, but we expect to narrow that down throughout the day and will release FirstCALL snowfall totals tonight.
As always, check back with FirstWARN Tri-Cities for the latest updates.
