Winter Weather to Impact the Region Thursday and Friday

Here is the latest look at our snowfall forecast for the region along with impacts and timing.

The main timeframe of snowfall impacts start in the early afternoon Thursday for the mountains and last through Friday morning while the valleys could see snow showers from 8 PM Thursday - 10 AM Friday morning.

The main impacts seem to be gusty winds, windchill values in the teens for the mountains and twenties for the valleys, and possible snowfall accumulation. The valleys could see a small accumulation with any snow burst while the best chance of accumulation is across the higher terrain and across SWVA.
